Finance Systems Analyst Overview The Finance Systems Analyst will drive transformation within the finance department, leveraging AI-assisted tools to enhance data models and reporting processes. Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative financial systems and workflows. Lead efforts to replace manual processes with automated, real-time accounting and reporting solutions. Develop dashboards and KPI reports to support organizational decision-making and operational efficiency. Mentor junior analysts, fostering their growth and expertise in financial systems and data analytics. Maintain data integrity and quality across financial reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Engage with AI tools and frameworks, continuously enhancing personal and team capabilities. Finance Systems Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties Design, test, and implement data models and dashboards for finance and operational reporting. Automate workflows to replace spreadsheet-based processes, enabling continuous accounting and reporting. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business challenges into actionable tools and solutions. Ensure data quality and query logic integrity in financial systems and reports. Analyze and recommend improvements to financial systems and processes. Mentor junior team members, guiding their professional development and technical skills. Explore and implement AI-assisted development techniques to enhance system capabilities. Prepare and present evaluations and recommendations to executive leadership. Finance Systems Analyst Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data/Information Systems, or related field required; advanced degree preferred. 5-8 years of experience in data/BI/analytics or business systems analysis. Proficiency in dashboard creation using tools like Power BI or Tableau; SQL knowledge is advantageous. Strong analytical skills with experience in data modeling and designing user-friendly reports. Curiosity and eagerness to learn AI-assisted development tools and techniques. Understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles; GAAP knowledge is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; exposure to Python or scripting is beneficial.
