Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Practice Setting:

Emergency Department

Level IV Trauma Center

15-bed facility

Patient Volume:

• Approximately 17-23 patients per shift
• Approximately 20% admission rate

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency medicine evaluation and treatment
• Manage emergency department patients
• Evaluate and stabilize acute and emergent conditions
• Admit patients as required
• Coordinate care with APCs and hospital staff
• Provide trauma and emergency care within a Level IV Trauma Center

• Mostly single physician coverage
• Some shift overlap
• Double coverage with two APCs
• Facility will accept multiple locum providers

Requirements

• Board Certified Emergency Medicine - Required
• Active Wisconsin Medical License - Required
• IMLC accepted
• ACLS - Required
• ATLS - Required
• BLS - Required
• PALS - Required
