Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Department Store Weekend Foot Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. DayTimeSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking lots, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter theft or unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
- Observe and report potential security-related concerns, including suspicious behavior, property damage, access issues, and policy violations, while maintaining accurate activity and incident documentation.
- Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions, assisting with customer service needs, and maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
