Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Anesthesiologists for a multi-hospital locum tenens program in Colorado Springs, Colorado , beginning September 2026.

This opportunity provides access to three cross-credentialed hospital sites within one regional anesthesia program . Physicians work both independently and within an anesthesia care-team model, supervising CRNAs and AAs while supporting a diverse surgical case mix that includes trauma, cardiac, general, and OB anesthesia .

With 8-, 10-, 12-, and 24-hour coverage options, Epic EMR, and a substantial regional anesthesia team, this is designed for experienced anesthesiologists interested in building meaningful locums coverage within one Colorado market.

Schedule Options
Coverage needs include:

• 8-Hour: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• 10-Hour: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 12-Hour: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• 24-Hour In-House Call: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
• Night Beeper Call: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM

Scheduled call carries a 30-minute response requirement where applicable.
Specific schedules and availability vary across the three participating hospitals.

Anesthesia Practice Environment

Physicians join an established anesthesia program with approximately 37 anesthesiologists and an anesthesia care team that includes CRNAs and AAs.
Operating room capacity varies across the three hospitals, with participating sites supporting approximately 16, 6, and 2 operating rooms .

Anesthesiologists should be comfortable both working solo and supervising advanced anesthesia clinicians within the care-team model.

Case Mix & Clinical Scope
Cases may include:

• General Surgery
• Trauma
• Cardiac / Heart Cases
• Obstetrics

Physician responsibilities include:

• Independent anesthesia care
• CRNA and AA supervision
• Perioperative anesthesia management
• Regional anesthesia and block performance
• Management of complex surgical patients
• Collaboration with surgeons and perioperative teams
• Epic documentation

Cardiothoracic and/or trauma experience is particularly valued.
OB experience is preferred but not required.

Who We're Seeking
This opportunity is best suited for an experienced anesthesiologist comfortable with high-acuity hospital anesthesia, care-team supervision, and independent cases .

Candidates should have:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Active Colorado medical license or appropriate IMLC eligibility
• Current ACLS
• Recent hospital-based Anesthesiology experience
• Experience supervising CRNAs and/or AAs
• Regional block proficiency
• Comfort managing complex surgical cases
• Strong professional and credentialing history

Trauma or cardiothoracic anesthesia experience is preferred.

Important Eligibility Requirements
Client-specific eligibility requirements apply:

• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from all participating facility locations
• Providers currently working at any of the three participating hospitals are not eligible for presentation
• Candidates must have a clean malpractice history with no closed malpractice cases
• The clinical team is not conducting phone interviews , so candidates must be prepared to make an assignment decision based on the confirmed opportunity information and credentialing process
