Job Title: CNC Set Up Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Set Up Operator to join our vertical milling department. As a CNC Set Up Operator, you will be responsible for operating various machines, including Vertical Spindle CNC Machining Centers and Bridgeport Mills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 14 Vertical Spindle CNC Machining Centers with table sizes up to 60 inches.
• Operate and manage 3 Bridgeport Mills.
• Utilize virtual machining capabilities for programming from customer electronic files.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Ensure precision and quality in machining processes.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in a machine shop environment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Degree in Machine Tool or CNC operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with precision machining services in various materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and composites.

Work Environment

The work environment is a small, mom-and-pop machine shop with a team of 13 people on the floor. The dress code is casual, allowing for T-shirts and jeans. The shop provides precision machining services and offers additional services such as hardware installation, assembly, and screen printing. Plating and paint finishes are available through qualified and certified finishers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
