Job Description Job Description JOB TITLE: HR Manager / Senior HR Generalist Industry: Manufacturing Type: Full-time position Location: Houston, TX (77056, Galleria area) Compensation: Competitive base salary + bonus + full benefits + 401K + PENSION Overview We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to serve as the primary HR business partner for people managers across three operating companies. This high-visibility role manages/leads two tenured HR Generalists and works directly with leadership on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor who combines strong judgment with hands-on execution to drive HR outcomes at all levels of the organization. Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR business partner to people managers, coaching on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management. Go beyond advising — help managers actualize solutions by sourcing training, drafting PIPs, conducting compensation market checks, and communicating appropriate next actions to HR leadership. Own the full performance review cycle across three companies, each with distinct cadences and templates. Partner with hiring managers on role scoping, compensation banding, recruiter selection, interview prep, scorecards, and candidate experience. Build and maintain a manager handbook covering hiring, onboarding, performance management, development, raises and promotions, succession planning, and day-to-day manager basics. Lead workplace investigations in collaboration with the Sr. Director of HR and legal as needed. Develop and manage a company-wide onboarding program for salaried employees; partner with hiring managers to standardize key components of hourly onboarding. Track and regularly report on core HR metrics: headcount, turnover, compensation vs. market, performance outcomes, and average tenure. Support consistent decision-making and communications on leave, benefits, accommodations, and claims. Identify and implement HR and Payroll process efficiencies through improved workflows and templates. Collaborate cross-functionally to build manager capabilities and accountability across the organization. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; PHR, SPHR or similar 15+ years of experience in HR. 5+ years of multi-state HR business partner experience 3+ years of independent senior-level experience in employee relations, performance management, recruiting, or training delivery. 2+ years of experience independently leading root cause investigations and developing company-wide HR solutions. High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
