Position Summary:

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) delivers direct rehabilitation services in occupational therapy to patients referred by physicians, under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), while adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT)
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Engagement in community health initiatives/projects as appropriate
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
• Ability to liaise effectively with patients, families, and support departments
• Knowledge of practices, procedures, and regulations governing operations in post-acute care settings
• Implementation and interpretation of departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
• Competency in all required areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of all sensitive information
• Understanding and adherence to organizational policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
• Demonstration of integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing mandatory compliance training

• Utilization of therapy software in an accurate and appropriate manner
• Exemplification of excellent customer service and a positive demeanor towards patients
