Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) / Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Type: Full-Time

Location : Olympia, WA

Setting : Pediatric Outpatient | In-Person

Schedule : Monday-Friday | Flexible Scheduling

Job Summary :

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, ethical, and dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to join a growing pediatric therapy team.

The team provides family-centered, collaborative care focused on helping children build independence, confidence, communication skills, and foundational abilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Occupational Therapist (OT)

• Conduct comprehensive pediatric OT evaluations.

• Develop individualized treatment plans.

• Provide one-on-one, play-based therapy.

• Address sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor coordination, visual-motor skills, motor planning, strengthening, ADLs, executive functioning, and school readiness.

• Support feeding challenges within scope of practice.

• Monitor and document patient progress.

• Provide parent coaching and home strategies.

• Collaborate with pediatricians, SLPs, PTs, educators, and other providers.

• Provide oversight and mentorship to COTAs.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of an OT.

• Implement individualized treatment plans.

• Support fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, motor planning, self-help, and functional skills.

• Support emotional regulation and developmental needs.

• Monitor and document patient progress.

• Provide family education and support.

• Collaborate with OTs and other providers.

• Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant documentation.

Education, Licensure, and Experience

Occupational Therapist (OT)

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.

• Active Washington State OT license.

• NBCOT certification.

• A few years of experience preferred.

• Pediatric experience preferred.

• New graduates are not being considered for the OT position.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

• Current COTA certification.

• Applicable Washington State credentials/licensure.

• A few years of experience preferred.

• Pediatric experience preferred.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

• Reliable, ethical, and willing to learn.
