Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory TherapistProvides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction.Essential Responsibilities:Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies.Completes documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness e.g., charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education.Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies.Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed.Performs other duties as assigned or required.Qualifications:Minimum:Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).Preferred:Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT.Two years' experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine in a hospital setting.Additional Employment Requirements:CPR – American Heart Association.Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.Compliance Requirement: This job adheres to the ethical and legal standards and behavioral expectations as set forth in the code of business conduct and company policies.As a component of job responsibilities, employees may have access to covered information, cardholder data, or other confidential customer information that must be protected at all times.
