Full-Time Second Shift MechanicCOAST is seeking a skilled Full-Time Second Shift Mechanic to help keep our fleet safe on the road. COAST mechanics inspect, repair, and service our fleet both on-site and during road calls as needed.Our fleet includes:12 heavy-duty diesel buses16 medium and light-duty gasoline-powered minibuses4 accessible minivans5 non-revenue service vehiclesThis position plays an important role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for service through routine preventive maintenance, accurate diagnostics, and quality repairs.Applicants must be willing to work assigned shift hours and days, typically Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, and participate in the on-call rotation every other Saturday.The ideal candidate will:Work cooperatively as part of the maintenance team.Possess the standard hand tools required to perform the job and have experience using them.Have strong communication skills.Have relevant experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel- and gasoline-powered vehicles.Hold a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement and a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.A Passenger Endorsement is preferred.
