About the Role:

The HZ-Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within the warehouse and shipping areas. This position is responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials, ensuring that shipments are processed accurately and on time. The role requires close coordination with shipping and receiving teams to maintain inventory accuracy and support overall warehouse operations. Attention to safety protocols and equipment maintenance is essential to prevent accidents and ensure smooth workflow. Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid forklift operator certification or license in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely and efficiently.
• Basic understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
• Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members.
• Ability to work flexible hours including overtime or weekends if required.
• Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely and efficiently.
• Transport materials to designated storage or staging areas within the warehouse.
• Inspect forklifts daily to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Collaborate with shipping and receiving personnel to verify shipment contents and documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
• Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies related to material handling and equipment operation.
• Assist in inventory counts and report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Support other warehouse tasks as needed to facilitate smooth operations.
