Work Environment\n

This full-time position allows you to work from the comfort of your home in New York City, leveraging telehealth platforms to connect with clients effectively. Regular working hours will be from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments and intakes for patients, actively listening to their concerns, history, and goals.

• Diagnose mental or emotional disorders accurately using the DSM-5 framework and collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to guide clients through their personal struggles, ensuring a compassionate, client-centered approach.

• Educate clients and their families about stress and trauma coping mechanisms, equipping them with valuable tools for mental wellness.

• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies and interventions based on their evolving needs.

• Partner with community organizations, medical professionals, and social services to coordinate care and resources effectively for clients.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated on advancements in mental health practices and fulfillment of National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will mostly serve individuals impacted by trauma-related injuries, assisting them in managing their mental health as they work through complex emotional responses. Your expertise will play a crucial role in empowering clients with knowledge and strategies to regain their sense of autonomy and purpose.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in New York.
\n
• Minimum of three years of experience working with trauma patients in a clinical setting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with telehealth technologies.
\n
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, Salesforce, or similar software platforms is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
