Night Shift Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse for a night shift position in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in obstetric nursing, be comfortable working with both low-risk and high-risk patients, and demonstrate proficiency with various procedures and equipment used in labor and delivery settings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in labor, including preterm labor cases.
• Circulate and assist in obstetric and gynecological surgeries.
• Provide comprehensive care in post-operative and pre-operative settings.
• Administer medications and assist with anticoagulation therapy.
• Utilize medical equipment such as epidural and PCA pumps.
• Attend all deliveries and provide couplet care as necessary.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with a focus on Labor and Delivery.
• Active compact RN license in hand at submission.
• Certifications required: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred).
• Epic experience is required.
