Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Associate specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions to join their team in New York. This role involves providing expert legal advice on complex transactions, representing clients under partner supervision, and contributing to talent development and knowledge management. Duties Lead and manage complex transactions, ensuring effective legal strategy and execution. Draft and negotiate critical transaction documents, including purchase and shareholder agreements. Collaborate with clients to deliver strategic legal solutions and favorable outcomes. Represent clients in negotiations, optimizing legal, tax, and business outcomes. Conduct comprehensive due diligence, identifying potential risks and ensuring thorough document review. Advise on post-transaction integration issues and ensure ongoing compliance. Assist senior colleagues in developing transaction strategies and preparing for negotiations. Stay updated on legal developments in the area of specialization. Coach and develop junior lawyers within the practice. Requirements In-depth knowledge and significant experience in a specialized area of law, typically with at least 8 years of practice post-qualification. Ability to support partners in managing client relationships and progressing technical matters. Experience leading complex legal matters. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent. Certifications Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in legal research and writing. Effective negotiation and interpersonal skills. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
