Corporate Associate - Mergers and Acquisitions

Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level Corporate Associate with 5-7 years of experience in corporate transactional matters to join their team in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and other corporate matters. Duties Manage all phases of the deal lifecycle from term sheet through closing. Draft and negotiate key transaction documents, including asset purchase agreements and merger agreements. Collaborate with team members on complex transactions. Provide legal research and transactional analysis. Requirements 5-7 years of corporate transactional experience, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. Excellent writing, research, and communication skills. Strong technical, professional, and client service skills. Ability to manage complex transactions with attention to detail and efficiency. Admission in good standing in the jurisdiction where you plan to practice. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong drafting and negotiation skills. Experience with corporate governance and capital markets transactions. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
