As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Roanoke, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related concerns, and respond to incidents with professionalism and integrity. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and contribute to a caring, reliable, and team-driven environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support entry and exit control for employees, visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors in accordance with site protocols.
• Maintain readiness to carry assigned equipment in accordance with post orders, report hazards or policy concerns, and complete required logs, reports, and other security-related records.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
