JOB SUMMARY

The Training Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day execution of training and employee development programs. This position provides direction and support to Trainers to ensure training is delivered consistently, effectively and in alignment with approved SOP’s, company policies, programs, safety requirements, quality standards, and operational expectations. This position works in coordination with the Director of Training and Development, Training Administrator, Human Resources, Operational Leadership and other departmental partners to identify training needs, monitor employee progress and competency, address training barriers and ensure required training and documentation are completed accurately and timely.

DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide direct supervision, leadership, coaching, development, and day-to-day direction to Trainers responsible for training.
2. Manage the Floor Management Training Program for Supervisors and Managers in coordination with the Training Administrator
3. Coordinate Trainer tasks, daily priorities, training needs, and resources based on onboarding, transfers, cross training, retraining, and operational needs.
4. Work in coordination with the Training Administrator to ensure training schedules, training records, assessments, employee assignments, and other training requirements are accurate and completed.
5. Partners with Operational Leadership, Human Resources, Safety, FSQA and other departments to identify training needs, address employee concerns, training barriers and support employee development and job competency.
6. Oversee the quality and effectiveness of training through floor observations, employee assessments, training results, audits, and follow-up to ensure employees are trained consistently and in accordance with approved SOPs, safety requirements, quality standards, and company expectations.
7. Identify training and procedural gaps and coordinate with Trainers, departmental leadership, and Human Resources to support the review, revision, development, and implementation of SOPs and related training materials.
8. Monitor employee training, competency, touchpoint feedback, performance trends, and coordinate appropriate coaching, retraining, or additional support as gaps are identified.
9. Monitor training metrics, completion data, assessments, audit findings, and departmental trends and communicate significant findings, risks, and opportunities for improvement to the Director of Training & Development.
10. Promote accountability, collaboration, and a positive learning environment within the Training team while serving as a liaison between Training & Development, Human Resources, employees, and operational leadership.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

Must be bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to effectively communicate, coach, train and provide feedback in both languages. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Have knowledge of effective training methods, adult learning principles, hands‑on instruction, employee assessment, and on-the-job training practices. 4. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization. 5. Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, problem‑solving, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple training needs and deadlines. 6. Must be able to review, understand, and support the implementation of SOPs, training materials, assessments, policies, and other job‑related documentation. 7. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and applicable learning management, training, or tracking system. 8. Comfortable facilitating training, coaching, and development for both hourly employees and members of leadership. 9. Must have knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. 10. Must be willing to work flexible hours and provide support across departments and shifts based on operational needs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
2. Previous supervisory or leadership experience, including experience coaching and developing others, preferred .
3. Experience in training, employee development, manufacturing or a related environment.
4. Experience within a food manufacturing or production environment.
5. Experience coordinating or managing employee training, leadership development, onboarding, qualification, or similar development programs.
6. Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, FDA, food safety, or other regulatory requirements applicable to a manufacturing environment preferred.
7. Experience with curriculum development, SOP-based training, training assessments, training metrics, or continuous improvement preferred.
