About the Role

GENCO Systems is hiring a Furnishings Manager to support the Installation Management Flight at Dyess AFB. This role manages the full lifecycle of government-owned furnishings across a warehouse and 12 dormitories on base — from inventory and receipt to issue, maintenance tracking, and long-range planning.

• Location: Dyess AFB, Abilene, TX (On-site, no remote)
• Schedule: Full-time | Mon–Fri, 0730–1630 | ~1,980 hrs/year
• Clearance: Must be able to obtain CONFIDENTIAL clearance
• License/Certification: None required

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, inventory, and distribute government-owned furnishings located in the warehouse and 12 on-base dormitories
• Conduct physical inventories in accordance with AFI 32-6000
• Request, receive, issue, store, and coordinate delivery and pickup of all government-owned furnishings within established timelines
• Identify and report suspected abuse or loss of property including damaged, destroyed, or lost items
• Oversee purchase, receipt, issue, installation, warranty tracking, maintenance, repair, and replacement of furnishings
• Prepare and update annually one- and five-year long-range furnishings plans
• Submit furnishings budgets to the Housing Chief as required

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of thoroughly documented, relevant experience in inventory management, facilities support, or logistics
• Familiarity with Air Force housing operations or military base furnishings management preferred (AFI 32-6000 experience a plus)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to track and report on government property accurately
• Valid driver's license; ability to operate a vehicle on Dyess AFB paved and gravel roads and adhere to all base driving policies
