Manufacturing Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to support the Cutting Tool Service Center based in Everett, Washington. As a member of the Leadership team, you will continuously lead and develop Manufacturing Teams. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to embrace and elevate a One BPS culture, driving a deep understanding of the One BPS principles, standards, production health and problem-solving model. Position Responsibilities: Leads, develops, and motivates employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines Develops and implements business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies Promote employee engagement and build an organizational culture that fosters safety and quality performance, improves employee satisfaction and retains and develops a skilled and motivated workforce Forecasts resource needs, obtains and manages personnel, facilities, equipment, and training and tools to meet operating requirements Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process Improvements Develops and upholds relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct reports Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment 1+ years of experience applying continuous improvement tools and techniques Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership.” Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3+ years of experience working within a cross-functional organizational environment 1+ years of experience managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Compliance and Manufacturing data 1+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives 1+ years of experience using Quality Management System (QMS) and/or Boeing Production System (BPS) 1+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
