Exciting Opportunity

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible fellowship-trained Non-Invasive Cardiologist to become a part of our established Heart & Vascular practice, which is affiliated with a hospital.

Compensation Packages

Option 1:
Base salary of $615,884, which aligns with the 50th percentile of MGMA for recent graduates. This amount is guaranteed for two years, with the possibility of transitioning to a wRVU production contract upon exceeding targets.

Option 2:
Base salary of $746,825, corresponding to the 75th percentile of MGMA, guaranteed for one year before switching to a wRVU production contract.

Note: A 5% reduction applies for those who have not yet achieved board certification, with salary adjustments made upon certification.

Contract Details

• Vacation: 29 days of paid time off (PTO), with an additional 5 days of PTO available upon achieving 75th percentile wRVUs.
• CME/Books & Journals: 5 days of PTO and up to $5,000 for continuing education.
• Deferred Compensation: Participation in a 457b plan, allowing deferral of compensation up to the IRS limit of $23,000 annually, pre-tax. No matching contributions are provided.
• Retirement/Savings Plan: A 403b plan that permits deferral of compensation up to the IRS limit of $23,000 for those under 50 years old, and $30,500 for those over 50. The organization matches contributions dollar for dollar up to 2% of base salary.
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 provided for moving expenses.
• Malpractice Insurance: Coverage under a claims-made policy with limits of $2,000,000 per claim and $6,000,000 in total.
• Health Insurance: A small premium is deducted from the physician's paycheck.
• Liquidated Damages: A non-compete clause of 70 miles for 2 years, or liquidated damages equivalent to one year’s salary.
• CERP (Pay for Call) Program: Details to be provided by the VP of Finance.
• Bonus Opportunities: Potential bonuses of up to 10% of salary.
• Medical School Loan Repayment: Up to $200,000 available ($25,000 per year for each year of service commitment).
• Residency Stipend: Up to $25,000, contingent upon a service commitment of up to 2 years.
• Sign-On Bonus: 15% of base salary, capped at $100,000, payable upon signing the contract and forgiven over a period of 2-4 years.

Practice Information

Location: Outpatient clinic situated on the main campus of the hospital at Braunlin Building, Suite 206, Portsmouth, OH 45662.

Office Hours: Monday to Thursday from 7 AM to 6 PM, and Friday from 7 AM to 12 PM.

Staff Composition:

• 5 Physicians (Interventional, Non-Invasive, CT Surgery, Vascular Surgery)
• 6 Advanced Practitioners
• 11 Medical Office Assistants (MOA)
• 2 EKG Technicians
• 15 Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
• 5 Certified Medical Assistants (CMA)
• 3 Surgery Schedulers
• 2 Surgical Assistants

Call Schedule: 1:3 weekend rotation and 1 night per week, with opportunities for additional compensation through the CERP (Pay for Call) Program.

Case Load:

• Outpatient Clinic: Approximately 10 patients per day
• Inpatient: Based on hospital census
• Procedures: 4-6 per day

Equipment: Includes Philips IECG, Welch Allyn EKG, Geneva Remote Monitoring, Device Interrogators/Programmers (Medtronic, St Jude, Boston Scientific, Biotronik), Philips EPIQ Ultrasound System, Philips ST80i Stress Testing System, and Philips Cardiac Monitoring.
