Supervising Pharmacist - Fontana, California

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Manager at a 90-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital near Fontana, CA. This role offers the possibility to transition to a permanent position. The ideal candidate will possess a valid California Pharmacist license and prior pharmacy management experience.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy department operations, including staff supervision, work schedules, and assignments.
• Serve as a pharmacist, performing dispensing and clinical duties in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement systems to ensure regulatory compliance, quality assurance, performance improvement, and efficient staff workflows.
• Provide guidance and resources for staff education, orientation, and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shifts

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• California Pharmacist license is required.
• Proven pharmacy management experience, preferably in a hospital or LTAC setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a pharmacy team.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality assurance practices.

Location:

• Position is based near Fontana, CA, with preference for candidates who can work locally or within a commutable distance.
