Milieu Specialist - Per Diem

Metropolitan Behavioral Health Hospital, a UHS facility, is seeking a per diem Milieu Specialist. The hospital offers a full continuum of inpatient services for adolescents, adults, and older adults, including behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. It also provides robust outpatient programs with group, family, and individual therapy.

Position Summary: The Milieu Specialist provides therapeutic milieu management, training of MHTs, and monitoring of hospital units. Responsibilities include program content and philosophy, patient management training, environmental management, and staff competency.

Qualifications:

• Associates or bachelor's degree in psychology or similar social sciences from an accredited college or university
• Five years of professional experience in a mental health hospital setting
• Experience as a Lead MHT
• Current certification as a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention instructor or obtained within 5 months of being in the role
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Current certification in BLS/CPR

Work Hours: This is a per diem position for rotating shifts. Must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays.
