31600 - Labor and Delivery - Assistant Nurse Manager

Location: 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642 Compensation Range: $95,846.00 - $126,630.00 Shift Details: Full‑time position, 40 hours per week. Days and nights, 8‑hour and 12‑hour shifts, with weekends, holidays, and on‑call duties per unit policy. Responsibilities Provide expert patient care and serve as a resource and consultant, communicating effectively within the unit and service. Participate in human resources management, develop and evaluate recruitment and retention strategies, and monitor patient outcomes. Assume expanded responsibilities at unit, program, or service level as assigned by leadership. Act as a mentor and role model for staff across obstetrics, including unit orientation and advanced assessment of obstetrical patients. Lead or participate in quality improvement activities and unit/service projects, managing unit‑based programs. Remain flexible and adapt readily to changing responsibilities and situations. Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to coordinate multidisciplinary care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
