Position Summary The Painter is responsible for performing commercial interior and exterior painting, surface preparation, drywall patching, repairs, touch-ups, and punch list work. The ideal candidate has commercial renovation experience, pays close attention to detail, and can work professionally and respectfully in occupied environments. Key Responsibilities Prepare walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other surfaces for painting. Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and occupied areas before beginning work. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, as appropriate. Patch holes, cracks, and damaged areas in drywall. Tape, mud, sand, and finish small drywall repairs so surfaces are ready for paint. Match existing paint colors and finishes when completing repairs and touch-ups. Caulk gaps and perform minor surface repairs as needed. Complete interior and exterior painting projects according to project plans, specifications, schedules, and company quality standards. Complete punch list items, final touch-ups, and warranty-related repairs. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Properly clean, maintain, and store painting tools and equipment. Collaborate with project managers, site superintendents, subcontractors, and other team members to help complete projects safely and on schedule. Conduct work professionally and respectfully in occupied senior living, affordable housing, healthcare, and institutional environments. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of commercial painting experience. Commercial renovation or occupied-construction experience preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to follow project plans, product specifications, and safety requirements. Requirements Valid driver’s license required. Ability to reliably travel to assigned project sites as required. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening, consistent with applicable law. Ability to safely perform the physical demands of the position, including lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Ability to safely lift and carry materials and equipment commonly used in commercial painting. Compensation & Benefits Pay: $25-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
