Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations by reviewing patient histories, performing specific assessments, and formulating comprehensive treatment plans that address individual patient needs.
• Communicate evaluation results and treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, actively involving them in setting achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation outcomes, patient progress, and contemporary best practices within the healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, ensuring integrated care through consultation when necessary and documenting any observed changes in patients' conditions that may require plan adjustments.
• Complete timely discharge planning and follow-up care strategies, ensuring accurate documentation of patient care activities including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, interim summaries, and final discharge assessments.
• Manage time efficiently to meet productivity aspirations and maintain an accurate schedule, demonstrating punctuality for meetings and actively participating in community outreach and marketing activities.
• Contribute to the development of departmental goals, collaborating on initiatives that uphold governmental regulations and accreditation standards.
• Pursue ongoing education and training to enhance professional growth and service delivery, and serve as a mentor for clinical students if qualified.
• Foster a patient-friendly atmosphere by promoting exceptional customer service and maintaining adaptability to fulfill patients' needs.
• Engage in initiatives aimed at removing barriers to access within the care system, collaborating with colleagues to facilitate improved patient access and experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will focus on a diverse patient population, ranging from post-operative recovery patients to chronic pain sufferers and sports-related injuries. You will be instrumental in developing customized rehabilitation strategies that support each patient's mental and physical health, facilitating optimal recovery processes. Your input will be key in evaluating patient progress and adjusting treatment protocols to better meet their rehabilitative goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory; candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy will be preferred.
• Possession of a valid State license to practice Physical Therapy in Florida.
• Current certification in CPR/BLS through the American Heart Association is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• A commitment to professional development and continuous learning in the field of physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
