Patient Financial CoordinatorJoin our team in Maplewood as a full-time Patient Financial Coordinator on the PM Shift! This position serves a critical role in the clinic as they help patients understand the cost of recommended treatment and makes appropriate financial arrangements with patients.Although the position is posted externally as Patient Financial Coordinator to help applicants recognize its focus on working with patients regarding their treatment plans, insurance benefits, and financial arrangements, the official internal job title is Treatment Coordinator.Community Dental Care is Minnesota's largest provider of comprehensive dental care for people of all ages on public programs. We operate five clinics across the state, including the Twin Cities, Rochester and Buffalo.Responsibilities:Review schedule daily for patient financial obligationsVerify all patients' insurance – state and commercialCollect payments and/or copays from patientsReceive overflow calls from scheduling coordinatorsReceive and return calls from patients pertaining to financial quotes for treatment plansSchedule patient appointments as neededAnswer patient questions regarding billing and payment optionsProcess application for sliding fee scale and care grantsPost payments on patient accountsSend out pre-estimates to patientsPosition Hours (PM Shift)Monday through Thursday 2:00pm – 9:30pmFriday 12:00pm – 5:30pmQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably within an office settingExperience discussing treatment plans, insurance benefits, and/or financial arrangements with patients.Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Karen or Hmong requiredNo prior dental experience requiredWhat We Offer:Meaningful work in a collaborative environment that fosters professional growthComprehensive medical, dental and life insurancePaid time off and holiday pay401k plus company match$3.00 per hour differential for working PM shift at the Maplewood clinicAt Community Dental Care, we provide high quality dental care in a caring, culturally respectful manner.
