The facility employs a diverse workforce of dedicated professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to residents. Job Description We are seeking a highly responsible and professional REGISTERED NURSE SUPERVISOR‑F/C that will collaborate with various state facilities and supervise nursing staff within a forensic environment. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse Supervisor F/C will spend at least 75% of their time in direct contact with residents. The position requires manual handling, knowledge of Total Quality Management principles, and the ability to provide nursing supervision, direct care, and administrative duties. Duties Include Supervise and coach nursing and direct care staff. Administer appropriate disciplinary actions when needed. Assist in the selection and interviewing of nursing personnel. Ensure nurses maintain current licensure and required CEUs. Monitor resident care, documentation, and compliance with standards and regulations. Complete evaluations and provide training to staff. Assign staff and monitor medication education groups. Provide immediate emergency nursing care during crises. Document all pertinent information during manual, seclusion or restraint processes. Serve as a resource person for staff training and education programs. Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Florida in accordance with State Statute 464 and a minimum of two years of Registered Nursing experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques. Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. Ability to supervise and provide direct patient care and treatment. Ability to assess patients' progress and evaluate nursing care plans. Ability to work with patients having various physical problems. Ability to plan, develop, and conduct training programs. Ability to prioritize work and establish effective working relationships.
