Part-Time Endocrinologist – Diabetes & Lipid Management

Practice Overview

We are a patient-centered family medicine practice seeking a part-time Endocrinologist to collaborate with our primary care team in managing patients with diabetes and hypercholesterolemia . This role will provide specialized endocrine care within a familiar primary care setting, improving access and continuity for our patients.

Position Summary

The Endocrinologist will evaluate, treat, and follow adult patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes , dyslipidemia , and related metabolic conditions. The physician will work closely with family medicine providers to co-manage complex cases and optimize long-term outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
  
  
• Provide ongoing care for patients with hypercholesterolemia and lipid disorders
  
  
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including lifestyle counseling and medication management

• Interpret laboratory results and adjust therapy accordingly

• Collaborate with primary care providers for coordinated, team-based care

• Educate patients on disease management, prevention, and long-term complications

• Document care in the electronic medical record (EMR)

• Follow evidence-based guidelines and best practices

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
  
  
• Active medical license (state-specific)

• DEA registration (if applicable)

• Strong interest in outpatient, collaborative care

• Excellent communication and patient education skills
