Accounting Manager

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations within a freight forwarding environment.

Process and audit carrier, agent, and vendor invoices, ensuring accurate cost allocation across shipment files and resolving billing discrepancies in a timely manner.

Prepare monthly financial reports, accruals, and journal entries to support a timely and accurate close process.

Monitor cash flow, aging reports, and collections activity, escalating issues and providing actionable recommendations to leadership.

Partner with operations teams to ensure shipment-level profitability is captured accurately, supporting margin analysis and cost control initiatives.

Assist in the development and documentation of accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting standards as the company scales.

Serve as a key contributor to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning efforts, with increasing responsibility over time as you grow toward an Accounting Manager and eventually CFO-level role.
