Location Odessa, TX Role Summary As a Senior Project Manager, you are a highly experienced and strong leader responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role demands a deep understanding of construction processes, regulations, and project management. The Senior Construction Project Manager provides strategic direction, leads project teams, makes high‑level decisions, mentors junior staff, and collaborates with executives and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Supervisory Responsibilities Up to 15+ team members may directly report to you. Responsibilities Stakeholder Communication: Oversee and support the project team's regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor project teams, contractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative and results‑driven environment. Project Planning: Oversee comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets throughout construction and post‑construction, ensuring alignment with project goals. Site Management: Oversee site logistics, including layout, access, and coordination of contractors and suppliers. Progress Tracking: Monitor project milestones, tasks, and deliverables, addressing any deviations and ensuring project timelines are met. Resource Allocation: Manage labor, equipment, and materials to meet project objectives. Issue Resolution and Risk Management: Promptly resolve project‑related challenges, collaborate with stakeholders, and develop strategies to mitigate risks. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements. Quality Control, Environmental Considerations, and Budget Oversight: Maintain project quality, comply with industry standards and stakeholder specifications, consider environmental regulations, and manage project costs, expenses, change orders, and allowances to stay within budget. Documentation and Reporting: Review, expedite, and monitor documents (reports, schedules, invoices, ASIs, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, daily reports, change orders, punch lists, inspections, closeout, stakeholder presentations) and provide project status reports and presentations to management and stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices, lessons learned, and process enhancements. Attendance at work during normal business hours. Knowledge & Skills Required Construction Processes: In-depth understanding of construction methodologies, processes, and best practices. Project Management: In-depth understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Blueprint Reading: In-depth understanding in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings. Building Codes and Regulations: In-depth understanding of local, state, and national building codes, permits, and regulations. Safety Procedures and Construction Safety: In-depth understanding of safety protocols, PPE, hazard identification, and construction site hazards. Collaboration: Strong team collaboration skills. Project Documentation: Maintaining accurate project documentation, contracts, drawings, schedules, and change orders. Project Management Software: In-depth understanding of scheduling, task management, and communication tools. Leadership: Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage teams, contractors, and suppliers. Problem Solving and Decision Making: Effective problem‑solving skills and ability to make informed decisions quickly. Organizational, Time, and Attention to Detail: Strong organizational, time management, and meticulous attention to detail. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to analyze project data, identify trends, and inform decision‑making. Technical Proficiency: In-depth understanding of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and Project Management Software. Communication and Confidentiality: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and discretion. Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, a related field, or equivalent field experience. 10+ years of experience in the construction industry or related fields, demonstrating a grasp of project management principles and superintendent expertise.
