Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room (ER) with experience in handling a wide variety of patient needs. This role is within a Level 1 trauma unit, providing care to diverse patients from newborns to the elderly. Ideal candidates will have required certifications and proficiency in managing critical care patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in the ER for all patient types.
• Manage critically ill patients, including those with cardiac arrests, strokes, and trauma.
• Titrate and manage various medical drips, including vasopressor and cardiac drips.
• Interpret and respond to patient rhythms using Phillips monitors.
• Perform lab draws and collaborate with techs and phlebotomy as necessary.

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid IL nursing license or confirmation of application in process
• Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Proficiency in managing acute care settings

Preferred:

• 2 years of nursing experience
• Prior travel assignment experience
• SANE RN experience
• Experience in a teaching hospital with residents
