Senior Accountant

Location: 475 Springfield Ave, Summit, NJ; in-office position; team environment Classification: Full-time; exempt Summary / Job Objective We are looking for a qualified accountant to assist in the General Ledger month-end close process and the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheets and income statements in compliance with GAAP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of accounting principles, are essential for success in this role. Primary Responsibilities Prepare the monthly GAAP journal entries for multiple companies to ensure that the financial reporting is accurate and timely. Own the month-end close processes for assigned areas and adhere to deadlines. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for multiple companies. Assist with payroll related journal entries. Assist with the finance integration of acquired entities. Own and prepare the entire lease process in accordance with ASC 842. Coordinate support and respond to external auditors for Interim and Year-End Audit. Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports for all entities including consolidated balance sheets and income statements. Reconcile financial discrepancies by analyzing account information. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; MS or active CPA is preferred. 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial data analysis, and/or auditing. Knowledge of U.S. GAAP & corporate finance principles and procedures. Ability to multi-task and set priorities. Able to work in open environment and team setting. Tech‑savvy and excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Core Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
