Position Overview The Prevention Services Division works with partners across Colorado to improve the health of all Coloradans. This role within the Nutrition Services Branch (NSB) focuses on the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), also known as the Colorado Food Program (CFP), which administers the USDA CACFP, reimbursing providers for serving nutritious meals in various care settings and offering nutrition education, training, and support. CFP Business Analyst The position serves as the unit’s technology subject matter expert and is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the unit’s technology systems. Responsibilities include the CACFP child nutrition program technology system, vendor and client management, requirements analysis, user acceptance testing, and communicating business and technology changes to achieve identified goals. Minimum Qualifications Three (3) years of professional experience as a business analyst in a government IT context, with progressively complex assignments managing requirements for software application development or service delivery. OR a combination of related education and experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration or a closely related field, and professional experience as a business analyst in a government IT context equal to three (3) years. Applicants must substantiate experience in the Work Experience section of the application. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with the State of Colorado Government. Prior experience with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) / Colorado Food Program (CFP). Prior experience with the Child Nutrition Portal (CNP). Excellent relationship‑building and management skills. Strong orientation toward collaboration and communication, earning trust from a wide customer base. Demonstrated understanding of application design, development, testing, integration, and support. Ability to translate IT processes and tools into practical workflows for non‑technical audiences. Proven ability to operate with a geographically dispersed customer base and technical partners. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Track record of owning projects and delivering on commitments.
