CNC Machinist

Job Description Job Description Scope of the Position: To operate and make necessary adjustments to various CNC Horizontal and Vertical Machining Centers, and/or Lathes to produce high quality products to required specifications. Responsibilities: 1. Load/unload parts and inspect finished parts to close and exacting tolerances/finish specifications. Should be familiar with many or all of the following: Mazak and Makino Horizontal Machining Centers, Fadal and Haas Vertical Machining Centers, Mazak and Puma CNC Lathes. 2. Must be familiar with machine operations and control settings for operations such as turning, boring, drilling, tapping, thread-milling, profiling, and contouring. Capable of making machine adjustments to compensate for tool wear. 3. Must work from drawings and specifications. Familiar with production processes and understands job packet documents. Should be able to set-up repeat jobs and create fixturing for new jobs. 4. Responsible for daily machine maintenance checks and scheduled preventative maintenance. 5. Must have ability to perform in process measurements and keep parts in statistical process control. Should be familiar with our quality system. 6. Perform a variety of general maintenance and shop work required or other duties assigned by the Supervisor. 7. Responsible to clean, orderly, and safe work areas. 8. Specific duties and general shop skills pertaining to Repeat Set-ups, Use of Drill Grinder/Minor Program changes/ Conventional Mill and Lathe. Qualifications * High school education with V-Tech or Technical school background, or equivalent, journeyman papers a plus. * Knowledge of machining techniques and methods. * Familiarity with CNC Machine tool operating procedures. * Requires the ability to read and edit standard "G" code programs. * Must be able to stand for long periods of time and engage in repetitive pushing/pulling actions. * Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds and possess good fine motor skills. * May be required to work overtime hours. #ZRPB By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, Al-generated calls, text messages, or emails from Synerfac Technical Staffing and our contracted partners.
