The CPTL is the program area’s top leader among the software leadership team across the UTMD portfolio and represents the functional discipline across the program teams. The CPTL is the embodiment of the Raytheon leadership values within the software engineering team and builds a cohesive, high performing team. The leader is collaborative across disciplines within the program area to execute the software development objectives and integrate within the program team.The candidate will apply the latest technologies, agile processes and be responsible for Earned Value Management principles and metrics in an agile environment. The candidate will also develop the vision for and guide the implementation of a common software engineering vision across the UTMD programs. This position requires understanding of cost estimation and/or developing government technical proposals. The candidate will require the ability to understand how their efforts affect the “big picture” of the radar systems. The MDS department’s mission is to provide world class software to be used in radar and command and control systems deployed on land and sea.
