PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Directs and manages overall daily operations of the designated Clubhouse with the primary concern for programs, service delivery and safety. Other responsibilities include membership tracking, supervision and training of staff, and policy adherence.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Leadership
1. Deliver Club programs, activities and services that provide an outcome driven club experience that assists youth in reaching their full potential.
2. Ensure a healthy, safe environment, with well-maintained facilities, equipment, and supplies.
Program Planning & Implementation
3. Plan, implement, and evaluate established programs, services, and activities to ensure they meet organizational goals and objectives.
4. Manage membership tracking system, including member information, attendance, and participation.
5. Develop tactics for new member acquisition and current member retention.
Operational Management
6. Build employee schedules aligned with payroll budgets and members ratios.
7. Ensure facilities are neat, organized, and clean. Equipment is properly maintained, and needs are communicated to administrative staff.
8. Drive accountability and compliance with organization policies and safety requirements.
9. Recruit, manage, and provide development opportunities for Club staff. Conduct regular staff meetings.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work with staff on special events when necessary.
2. Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline policies.
3. Assume other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club professional staff to ensure program quality and discuss continuous quality improvement.
Partner with the Director of Club Operations to ensure club needs are addressed.
External:
Encourage parental involvement and communication to address any needs or issues that arise with members.
Maintain open lines of communication with external community partners, schools and promote positive public image for the Club.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
· Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
· A minimum of five years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience
· Demonstrate ability to manage and lead employees
· Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (365, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
· Strong organization and communication skills, both oral and written
· Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff
· Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems
· Skilled at program or curriculum planning and execution
· Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community partners.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The ability to transport members, pick up and distribute supplies, and lift and carry equipment will be necessary. Ensure well maintained facilities; including cleaning and organizing as needed.
