Sales Support Specialist

The Sales Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving sales growth while alleviating administrative burdens from sales representatives. This role focuses on maintaining and expanding the client base, contributing to the efficiency and success of the sales team, and fostering exceptional client relationships. Specialists are expected to learn, uphold, and represent company policies, procedures, and philosophies. Primary Responsibilities: Support the Sales Team Handle client administrative tasks (e.g., welcome emails, EED anniversary calls, order entry, ETA reviews, and JIRA ticket resolution). Execute daily tasks independently without requiring detailed guidance from sales reps. Partner with sales representatives to ensure efficient account management and focus on prospecting. Prepare client-ready reports and update client databases. Provide high-quality service through phone, chat, and email to resolve inquiries promptly. Account Development and Lead Generation Reactivate dormant and inactive accounts by reconnecting them with sales representatives and promoting the benefits of working with EE Distribution. Conduct outbound contact with prospective, active, and inactive clients to identify opportunities, schedule follow-ups, and solicit orders. Leverage leads provided by the marketing team to develop a robust pipeline. Proactively recommend solutions tailored to client needs. Key Account and Special Project Support Work closely with KEY accounts to manage detailed or complex tasks, ensuring continuity and high-level service. Support sales at trade shows, including travel, booth setup, and client engagement. Assist with sales and client maintenance projects as assigned by management. Training and Continuous Improvement Actively engage in ongoing training related to product knowledge, technical systems, and sales techniques. Maintain and update sales tools, standard operating procedures, and shared resources. Essential Functions: Meet or exceed sales goals and other performance metrics. Represent company policies and values in all client interactions. Collaborate across teams to support marketing campaigns and operational improvements.
