Job Opportunity – Neuro ICU Travel Nurse – Columbus, Ohio

Start Date: July 13, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week; day/night rotation, every other weekend, rotating every 4 weeks

Highlights:

• Work with a complex neuro patient population including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery patients
• Patient ratio estimated at 1:1 to 1:2 for optimal bedside care
• Epic EMR system in use facility-wide
• Exposure to advanced neuromonitoring including ICP monitoring, EVDs, and EEG
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
• 13-week travel assignment with two pre-approved time-off periods available

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
• Competency in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure monitoring
• Epic charting system experience
• Previous travel experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (one must be a manager, director, or charge nurse)

• Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start date with no exceptions
• Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing; delays may result in start date changes or cancellation
• Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible after booking
• Candidates at extreme distances will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6 months or more to be eligible
