Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments for new clients to evaluate the severity and nature of their mood disorder symptoms, using standardized tools and clinical interviews. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary based on client progress and feedback. Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance their emotional well-being. Document all client interactions and treatment plans with precision, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines for confidentiality. Participate in case consultations and team meetings to foster an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement. Advocate for clients' mental health needs, promoting awareness and de-stigmatization of mental health issues in the community. Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in treatment methodologies to provide the most effective care. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will involve supporting clients experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and bipolar disorder. You will work with a diverse population, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and life experiences. Building trust and rapport with clients will be essential in ensuring they feel understood and supported during their treatment process. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree is a minimum requirement, while a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is preferred. Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington State. Strong knowledge of mood disorders and their treatment methodologies, along with familiarity with psychopharmacology. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to connect with clients empathetically and effectively. Preferred Experience Two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling with a focus on mood disorders. Proven proficiency in evidence-based treatment interventions, notably CBT and DBT. Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary medical teams is advantageous. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
