Required Skills & Experience: Background in first response (e.g. firefighter) with strong familiarity of fire engines, emergency vehicles, and similar equipment; 1-2 years of sales, account management, and/or business development experience; proven ability to prospect and manage leads, with a strong focus on developing long-term relationships in a relationship-driven sales environment; comfortable engaging customers onsite, speaking to both technical and mechanical considerations of complex equipment; mechanically inclined individuals with an interest in vehicles such as trucks, buses, or specialty equipment are strongly preferred; willingness to travel across Northern and Central California, with occasional out-of-state travel (approximately every 68 weeks).

Job Description: Insight Global is supporting a client in identifying a Fire Apparatus Account Manager to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue through the sale of complex fire equipment, along with the long-term account management. The territory will be Northern & Central California, so the candidate must sit local to that area.

While this role is technically remote, it is an outside sales position requiring consistent presence within the assigned territory, along with periodic out-of-state travel a few times per quarter. The Account Manager will maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge, as accuracy and attention to detail are critical in this space.

This is a longer sales cycle environment with lower deal volume and high-touch client engagement. Success in this role requires comfort navigating complex buying processes, building trusted relationships, and representing highly specialized equipment where there is little margin for error.

The position includes a company credit card, mileage reimbursement at the federal rate, and full-time benefits including healthcare, 401(k) with match, and paid time off. On-target earnings are expected to be $120-150k in the first year, supported by a lower base salary and access to an existing pipeline with commissions already in place.
