PEER SPECIALIST

New Horizons is the largest mental health and addiction recovery provider on the Treasure Coast, serving 15,000 children and adults annually through inpatient crisis services, 24‑hour help line, mobile response team, and outpatient programs across Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie counties. We also assist 22,000 students in local schools and collaborate with courts, law enforcement, jails, and hospitals to improve community health. We are looking for a caring and compassionate Peer Specialist to join our Care Coordination team. The role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and on‑the‑job training. Responsibilities Provide peer support services in office or in community for an assigned group of clients, monitoring the activities of Care Coordination for high‑utilizing clients. Assist the Care Coordination Team with activities for assigned clients. Prepare written documentation for each service conducted. Provide transportation to consumers as needed. Requirements Certified as a Peer Specialist or in process of certification preferred. Valid and current Florida driver's license with no more than six points in the past five years.
