Talascend is currently seeking an Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Livonia, Michigan .

Overview

This position involves working as an assembler or entry-level mechanic within a contract manufacturing operation, focusing on automotive assembly. The role offers an engaging environment with exposure to cutting-edge technology in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

Assemble products according to written procedures and specifications
Use manual tools and power equipment safely to complete assembly tasks
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
Problem-solve mechanical issues as they arise during assembly
Support production goals by maintaining quality and efficiency standards
Assist in the timely completion of assembly projects

Qualifications

1 year of recent hands-on assembly experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be a US citizen
Basic understanding of automotive systems
Mechanically inclined with the ability to use manual tools and power equipment safely
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures
Self-starter, self-motivated, and willing to learn
Good oral and written communication skills
Excellent attendance; willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed

Preferred Qualifications

Previous automotive mechanic or co-op experience
Experience with automotive electrical systems
Basic set of mechanic tools

Shift: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am
