Talascend is currently seeking an Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Livonia, Michigan .


Overview


This position involves working as an assembler or entry-level mechanic within a contract manufacturing operation, focusing on automotive assembly. The role offers an engaging environment with exposure to cutting-edge technology in the automotive industry.


Responsibilities

• Assemble products according to written procedures and specifications
• Use manual tools and power equipment safely to complete assembly tasks
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
• Problem-solve mechanical issues as they arise during assembly
• Support production goals by maintaining quality and efficiency standards
• Assist in the timely completion of assembly projects

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent hands-on assembly experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a US citizen
• Basic understanding of automotive systems
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to use manual tools and power equipment safely
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures
• Self-starter, self-motivated, and willing to learn
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent attendance; willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous automotive mechanic or co-op experience
• Experience with automotive electrical systems
• Basic set of mechanic tools

Shift: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am
