Product Manager

Towne & Reese launched its first collection of jewelry in 2010 to independent retailers at the Atlanta Gift Market. The brand quickly gained momentum and became known for its trendy yet affordable pieces. After focusing on the independent retailers for many seasons, Towne & Reese began selling to department stores in 2014. The business has since expanded into soft goods (scarves, ponchos, ruanas, hats, belts, etc) and has evolved to focus solely on department stores and key account businesses with the majority being under private label brands. Towne & Reese produces roughly 300 skus each month for these different brands. We are looking to hire a Product Manager to aid the Production Team in developing a portion of these skus – specifically related to the Towne & Reese jewelry business. JOB DETAILS The Product Manager will work with the Head of Production in managing all aspects of jewelry production from the sales presentation through shipment of the finished goods. This person needs to have a keen sense of design and detail as well as have strong communication skills and be comfortable multitasking and working under tight timelines. This position will report to the Head of Production. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the production process for jewelry category; from submission of buys to final bulk shipping to our warehouse Communicate daily with our factories to manage production process of our goods Review samples that have issues with Production Assistant and determine how to solve the issue Maintain and own internal jewelry documents Help prepare for customer meetings in the form of linesheets and merchandising Participate in customer merchandising meetings Manage communication of approval samples with customer Coordinate cross functionally with Product Assistant and Logistics Assistant Writing POs in internal PO system QUALIFICATIONS 2-4 years experience in buying, marketing, retail or related role Bachelor’s degree, ideally in fashion Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail Strong communication and problem solving skills Shows ability to be flexible and exercises common sense and good judgment Demonstrates initiative, assertiveness and is ready to take on any assignments, while working as part of a team Possesses strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets; Adobe programs a plus Willingness to learn and be flexible Ability to manage a timeline and be proactive when thinking of obstacles that might arise #J-18808-Ljbffr Towne & Reese
