Step into a vital role supporting students' academic and emotional growth as a school-based psychometrist for the 2026–2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with diverse K–12 learners in a dynamic educational setting. Your expertise in assessment and data-driven intervention will directly impact student success throughout the school year, starting October 1, 2026, with the possibility of contract renewal into extended school year periods and the next school year.

Those seeking an engaging, collaborative role requiring on-site presence will find this position rewarding. Positions are available for two psychometrists, who may serve multiple school locations within the Mobile, AL area based on testing and evaluation needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in school psychometry (or related field)
• Valid professional license for school psychometry in Alabama (presentation of license required)
• Experience working with K–12 student populations in educational environments
• Strong understanding of standardized and diagnostic testing procedures
• Ability to travel to multiple locations as needed (itinerant, based on caseload demands)
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, score, and interpret psychological and educational assessments for K–12 students
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to address student needs
• Prepare comprehensive reports and communicate findings to educational teams and families
• Maintain documentation in line with district, state, and federal requirements
• Support determination of eligibility for special education services
• Serve as an active participant in multidisciplinary teams
