Role Description The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on‑site role based in Lewis Center, OH, responsible for supporting daily restaurant operations and ensuring an excellent guest experience. This role assists in leading and developing team members, managing shifts, and overseeing food quality, cleanliness, and service standards in alignment with Maple Street’s guiding principles. The Assistant General Manager helps coordinate staffing, training, and scheduling, monitors inventory and ordering, and supports cost control and basic financial reporting. This position also handles guest concerns, promotes a positive and inclusive work environment, and partners with the General Manager to implement operational improvements and community‑focused initiatives. Qualifications Experience in restaurant or hospitality management, including shift leadership and team supervision. Strong skills in customer service, conflict resolution, and building positive guest relationships. Ability to manage food safety, cleanliness standards, and basic kitchen operations. Competence in scheduling, inventory management, and basic financial or performance tracking. Effective communication, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to support diverse team members. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain composure under pressure. Commitment to community engagement and alignment with Maple Street’s culture and guiding principles. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or formal training in hospitality or business is a plus.
