Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives as a Special Education Teacher during the upcoming school year in the Phoenix area. Two contract opportunities are available for dedicated educators passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for elementary or middle school students.

Assignment #1 focuses on a kindergarten/first-grade ASD self-contained classroom, supported by two paraprofessionals. Assignment #2 involves working with a cross-categorical self-contained class for 7th and 8th graders. Both roles offer structured schedules and the chance to collaborate with a committed team of professionals while utilizing your unique skills and expertise.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching license required
• Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Previous experience in self-contained or cross-categorical environments preferred
• Strong behavioral management and individualized instruction skills
• Commitment to collaboration and ongoing professional development

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
• Foster a positive, safe, and structured classroom atmosphere
• Work closely with assigned paraprofessionals and other staff to support student success
• Communicate regularly with families and team members regarding student progress
• Participate in weekly professional development sessions on Wednesday afternoons
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
