Oliver Wyman’s Private Equity team in North America looks to hire consultants to support its rapid growth. The team works with private equity investors throughout the deal transaction lifecycle: from opportunity identification through due diligence and post‑transaction value realization. JOB SPECIFICATION

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are not typical “management” consultants. We provide industry‑ and discipline‑specific knowledge and expertise, which amplifies our impact and helps us shape the future for our clients. The team is looking for experienced professionals who are already working in or are interested in focusing on Financial Services (FinTech, InsurTech etc.), serving private‑equity clients. Oliver Wyman is a diverse and entrepreneurial partnership of individuals who like to pursue new opportunities or build a unique franchise doing what they do best in a collegial, fun environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional working experience with exposure to commercial and operational due diligence in a management consulting firm. Experience working across or within industries within Private Equity. Knowledge and in‑depth experience with customer research techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups, etc.). Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings. Fluent in English. An undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program. Initiative: seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and apply existing ones. Creativity: ready to come up with novel ideas to solve clients’ biggest problems. Aptitude for analytical work, such as sniffing out clues in massive data sets or hunting down key issues in a complex challenge. A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with a highly talented team.

ENGAGEMENT MANAGERS

Engagement Managers lead projects day‑to‑day. They execute due‑diligence and post‑transaction engagements for private‑equity funds and portfolio companies. Findings must be insightful and data‑driven. The role demands strategic thought leadership and command of all technical and operational details of execution. Strong communication skills and the ability to forge solid relationships are essential.

BENEFITS

Applicable base salary range for this role: $225k – $240k. The base pay will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. In addition to base salary, the position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives. The total rewards package includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401(k) savings and other retirement programs, and employee assistance programs.
