Collections Representative

Senior CollectorThe Senior Collector will work with high volume customers and offices to resolve complex issues and collect on escalated aging invoices. In this role, they will act as an informal resource for team members with less experience. It is an exciting opportunity to not only build relationships with assigned customers and C.H. Robinson offices, but to also use critical thinking skills to resolve more complicated collections issues.The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:Arranges and oversees completion of all accounts and assigned responsibilitiesUtilizes more advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, systems to recover aging invoicesAnalyzes data to identify and solve complex problemsEscalates more complex issues to senior-level team members and/or leadershipWorks with stakeholders to improve efficiencies and achieve targeted resultsContributes ideas for process improvement based on identified themes and an understanding of the big pictureDevelops professional relationships with internal and external customers, maintains open lines of communication and builds rapport by providing timely and professional serviceContinues to develop skills and build collections knowledge and business acumenProvides coaching and support to less experienced team membersOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirementsRequired:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 4 years of collections, cash applications, credit, accounts payable or related finance experienceSite specific: Bilingual requirementPreferred:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsEffective and flexible communication skillsStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsCritical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to use own judgement and make sound decisionsAbility to work in fast-paced, professional environmentTakes initiative and approaches work with persistenceValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentCompensation Range$16.35 - $34.46The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
