This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has a deep understanding of legal principles and a knack for insurance defense. This role will primarily focus on handling insurance defense cases, providing legal advice, and representing our clients in all stages of litigation. Responsibilities 1. Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, and wrongful death claims. 2. Review and analyze insurance policies, claims, and underwriting to provide legal advice regarding coverage issues. 3. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and prepare discovery responses and requests. 4. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and hearings. 5. Develop and implement defense strategies, negotiate settlements, and advise clients on legal risks and potential liabilities. 6. Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and updates on case progress. 7. Stay current on legal trends, rulings, and changes in laws and regulations that may impact insurance defense cases. 8. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective case management. Qualifications 1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense, with a proven track record of successfully defending clients in complex litigation. 3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing. 4. Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents. 5. Strong negotiation skills and experience with alternative dispute resolution methods. 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle large amounts of information and make sound decisions under pressure. 7. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality. 8. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite. 9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues. 10. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. 11. Strong commitment to client service and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.
