Key Responsibilities\n

As a Social Worker, you will have a multifaceted and impactful role with various responsibilities, including:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' psychosocial needs to identify emotional, mental, and social challenges.

• Develop and implement tailored intervention plans that address students’ specific goals, preferences, and circumstances.

• Advocate for students’ rights, facilitating access to essential resources and services within the community.

• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and interdisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare professionals, to improve student outcomes.

• Regularly monitor and evaluate students’ progress and well-being through home visits and check-ins, adjusting interventions as needed.

• Assist in conflict resolution among family members regarding educational decisions or behavioral management.

• Educate students and families about available mental health resources, support groups, and programs geared toward enhancing their social and academic engagement.

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of assessments, care plans, progress reports, and all relevant communications to ensure continuity of care.

• Stay informed on current social work practices, policies, and ethical standards to uphold the highest level of service delivery.

This role focuses primarily on students, specifically those facing emotional and behavioral challenges that may impact their academic performance and social interactions. You will engage with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds and will support their families in understanding and managing mental health concerns.

Qualifications\n

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as a Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

• A minimum of three years of experience in a social work role, ideally within a school or community-based setting.

• Strong knowledge of social work principles, issues related to child and adolescent development, and resources available for families.

• Exceptional assessment, counseling, and advocacy skills with the ability to build rapport with students and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
